Independent Study

AEF offers two Independent Study Programs

On Campus:  The on campus Independent Study program is generally assigned to a High School student who has requested to take a class not offered during the current semester, are taking A.P. credits, are dual enrolled with Broward College, or are taking an online class in addition to their AEF schedule.  This provides the student additional support and time on campus to complete their chosen course.

Off Campus / Lab Support:  The Off Campus program with Lab Support is designed to assist students who are not ready to function within the mainstream AEF classrooms. Students in this program are assigned work packets on a weekly basis.

The work is completed both at home and during designated on campus Lab times (after school hours).

Teachers provide academic support and work closely with the students in a small group or a one-on-one environment.
